Moss Blocks: clear two rows with one square
Use the guided square placement in Moss Blocks to clear two rows at once. Learn why it earns 34 points and what the Combo counter means next.

In Moss Blocks, a single square can finish two rows at once. Look for two nearly full rows whose gaps line up, then check whether one of your offered shapes fits both. Filling the last space in each row with the same placement clears them together.
The opening lesson gives you an exact example to try. Its 34-point clear also explains why the Combo counter can say ×2 without doubling the points you just earned.
Put the square in the bottom-right gap
On a first visit, the lesson shows two rows of six blocks, with a two-by-two gap at the bottom right. If you’ve already passed the lesson, choose Help to reopen it.
Drag the square from the tray into that highlighted gap. Line up its four cells with the four empty spaces, then release. On touch, the held shape sits above your finger, so watch the placement preview rather than trying to cover the destination with your fingertip.
The screenshot above captures the held preview, not the completed move. After release, both rows disappear and the game reports 2 lines cleared · +34. A full column clears too; you don’t have to build only horizontal lines.
Why the clear earns 34 points
The square adds four cells, worth four points. Clearing two lines in one placement adds a 30-point line bonus. This is the first clear in the streak, so that bonus uses a multiplier of one: 4 + 30 = 34.
The ×2 now shown in Combo is for the next placement if it also clears a line. It isn’t a multiplier applied retroactively to the square. Consecutive clearing placements increase the streak; placing a shape without clearing anything resets it. Only the line bonus is multiplied, not the points for the cells you place.
Take the pattern into your next board
Choose Start playing to leave the lesson. In a fresh session, the real game starts at zero with an empty board and three offered shapes. Help is practice, not a way to add points to your current game.
Before filling a promising gap, check the other shapes in the tray. You must use all three before a new offer arrives. A double clear creates room, but chasing one that your current shapes can’t complete may leave you with fewer useful spaces.
There is no timer. Take a moment to check where each remaining shape could fit. The run ends when none of the unused offered shapes fits anywhere, not simply because your next move would fail to clear a line.
