About this game
A solitaire table lit by one candle. The stock never flips blind — press Draft and three cards turn face up, you keep one, and the two you refuse burn away for good.
How it works
Your hand holds a single card, so taking one you cannot place is a mistake you watch happen. Every burned card melts a drop of wax, and eight drops relight the ashes — but the flame keeps a quarter of them, so every relight shrinks the deal and refusing a whole draft becomes a real decision. Columns build down in alternating colours and foundations build up by suit, exactly as you remember; the luck does not.
Two cards burn for every one you keep, so most of the deck never reaches a foundation: eight cards home beats a deal.
Controls
- Tap or click a card
- Pick it up; tap where it goes
- Tap a picked-up card again
- Send it to its foundation
- Draft
- Turn three stock cards face up
- Burn all / Burn card
- Refuse the draft, or drop the held card
- Relight
- Spend eight drops of wax to bring most of the ash back
- Tab and Enter
- Move between cards and controls
